About us

Reach Performing Arts was established with the aim of giving children and young people, from all cultures and backgrounds the opportunity to become involved in the performing arts at an affordable cost.

By teaching new skills to children and young people, we aim to develop confidence and self-esteem in order to help them reach their full potential. Reach Performing Arts aim to develop articulation and communication, whilst encouraging creativity and imagination.

We aim to open up new avenues, by giving the young people of Huddersfield an opportunity to take part in drama and other activities, in preparation to attend auditions for stage, screen and television. This will also include modelling for the catwalk or fashion. We will work tirelessly to secure auditions to the best of our ability but can never guarantee success at all auditions.

We provide a safe working environment within the professional facility of HD1 Dance, where young people can choose to study the performing arts for fun or future careers.

Drama

Drama helps to build confidence, self-esteem, broaden vocabulary, strengthen speech and encourage vocal projection. Improvisations, plays, musical theatre and TV scripts all help youngsters to express themselves in an imaginative and caring environment.

 Vocal Training

Vocal training helps young people express themselves and build their confidence. We aim to help them develop their vocal skills by teaching the necessary techniques and giving them the opportunity to perform either in a group or individually. Youngsters will be taught harmonies, musical theatre (such as Cats, West Side Story), popular songs, through strong vocal techniques, encouraging them to make the most of their voices. Reach Performing Arts aims to establish a choir which is another vehicle for the development of confidence.
